PLEDGING: What does pledging mean?
If you’re not familiar with Kickstarter, the idea of pledges may seen a bit confusing. Not to worry…
A pledge is the amount you will pay for the product package when it’s released. This is essentially the price of the item.
We have various ‘pledge tiers’ which means we’re offering a limited qty of each product package at a heavily discounted rate for early buyers.

We have 2 variations of the Arcade Coder… 1 without a carry cases and 1 with a carry case (called plus).
We are offering these 2 variations at different prices depending on how quickly you buy the product
SUPER EARLY BIRD - this package is limited to the first 125 people and includes the Arcade Coder and the Game Studio iOS app. The price varies by currency but is 40% off the RRP (eg £80 instead of £129.99 for UK buyers)
SUPER EARLY BIRD PLUS - this package is limited to the first 125 people and includes the Arcade Coder and the Game Studio iOS app plus a carry case. The price varies by currency but is 40% off the RRP (eg £90 instead of £149.99 for UK buyers)

PLEDGING: How much do I pledge?
Select which pledge tier you want to buy and pledge the amount PLUS whatever delivery charge applies to your country (as detailed on the main page).
So for example, if you are one of the first 125 people and want the Arcade Coder with a carry case and live in the UK, you would pledge £97 (£90 for the product and £7 for the delivery charge)

Yes, there is a shipping charge for each purchase
UK backers have to pay £6 for the Arcade Coder or £7 for the Arcade Coder with a carry case US backers have to pay $9 for the Arcade Coder or $10 for the Arcade Coder with a carry case EU backers have to pay €11 for the Arcade Coder or €12 for the Arcade Coder with a carry case ROW backers have to pay £15 for the Arcade Coder or £18 for the Arcade Coder with a carry case

SHIPPING: Will I have to pay import charges?
UK and US backers do not have to pay any import charges as the product will be shipped from our local distribution centre in each country.
EU backers will not have to pay any import charges as the product will be shipped from a distribution centre based within the EU.
CA backers will not have to pay any import charges as the product will be shipped from a distribution centre in US and is under $800 in value.
ROW backers may have to pay import charges as their item will be dispatched from a UK based distribution centre. Please visit https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/ to check the costs to your country. We will use the value of your pledge and shipping charge in £GBP with no additional insurance costs as this is included in the shipping cost and the product description is ‘Game Console’

The product will ship in October with the iOS app but we do have an Android version in development for release in February 2020. We have now added new pledge tiers including the Android version of the app.

PRODUCT: What age is the Arcade Coder suitable for?
We recommend the minimum age most suitable for the full Arcade Coder experience is 6+ however during testing, children as young as 3 and 4 found great enjoyment in Painter Mode and some of the entry-level projects.
In short, the Arcade Coder is something your kids can grow in to over year and years of playing and learning.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
