Dear community,
We have some unfortunate news to share regarding the delivery of the Android app. Due to a number of factors, we are not going to be able to deliver this next month and its development has now been placed on hold for the foreseeable future.
We are so sorry about this and completely understand any frustration or disappointment you may be feeling. Our intention was to deliver an amazing experience and in this case, we have fallen short.
As a small team, we have recently experienced an unusually busy holiday period. Our team has been working tirelessly to deliver kits all over the world and with that, we’ve realised that we are overcommitted.
As a result, work on the Android app has suffered and fallen off track. We are very sorry for the lack of communication, the team were hopeful we could make up the ground but given the current timeline and the investment still required we feel it is unfair to prolong this. We hope this adds some clarity to how we arrived at this point.
What does this mean for Android backers?

iOS app - if you have access and would like to use the Arcade Coder with an iPad running iOS 11+ we can arrange for your reward to be sent out to you immediately.

Alternative kits -replace your Arcade Coder with a bundle of 4 of our kits - Gamer kit, Creative Coder kit, Sew & Glow kit and Light Racer kit.

We do want to say a huge thank you for all your support - we truly appreciate it. We also acknowledge you are some of the very first people to bring this project to life and for that, we’re so sorry to have to provide this update.

By now, most of your will have received your Arcade Coder and we’d LOVE to see them in action. If you have a minute, it would be awesome if you could post pictures and videos of you and your family using the kit on social media. PRE-CHRISTMAS SHIPPING DEADLINE
There are a few backers who haven't completed their Backerkit survey and supplied us with your shipping address. We can’t send you your kit until this has been done. December 16th is the final day we can ship to the EU pre-Christmas. December 18th is the final day for pre-Christmas delivery for US and UK customers.
If you want to receive your kit before Christmas, please retrieve your survey here https://arcade-coder.backerkit.com/ today and complete your details.
For EU backers who haven’t completed their survey yet, we recommend doing this ASAP, even if you don’t want to receive your kit before Christmas because of the BREXIT deadline of January 31st coming up. We want to ship everything before that date to avoid any potential customs charges!

Arcade Coder Shipping Update

Dear Backers,
Thank you for being so patient while we’ve been getting your Arcade Coders ready! We really appreciate your support and we wanted to give you a quick update on the status of your order.
The Arcade Coders have now been loaded into our Distribution Centers and will start shipping gradually over the next 7 days for iOS backers. Once your order’s been shipped, you will receive your order tracking number from Backerkit via email. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for your parcel!
We’ve also been working hard in partnership with teachers to make the Arcade Coder Lesson Plans perfect before we send them. Rest assured, they will follow shortly as they will be delivered via email - the estimated date is December 14th.
Your contribution truly means the world to us. With your support, we will continue to help ensure kids are creators, instead of consumers of technology, and to inspire the next generation of Future Inventors!

Arcade Coder Shipping Update

Dear backers,
We regret to inform you that the Arcade Coder shipping has been delayed. It was our aim to begin shipping orders by the end of October but due to an unforeseen and unfortunate production delay, we will be a little later than anticipated.
The Arcade Coder will start shipping from 25th November and everyone should get it by the 6th of December (depending on where you are in the world).
We're so sorry for the delay and any disappointment this has caused. Please be assured the team is working as hard as possible to ensure no further disruptions and to get the Arcade Coder to you in time for Christmas!
Make sure to complete your Backerkit survey!
We have so far received only 70% of the shipping addresses of our backers. In order to avoid any further delays in delivery, please make sure you have completed the Backerkit form with your shipping details.
If you can’t find the link to your Backerkit form, you can recover it by clickinghere. All you have to do once you’ve recovered the link to your form is select any add-ons you might want to add and add the shipping details in the second step. This way we’ll know where to send your rewards!
Shipping for EU backers
In light of Saturday’s vote and the UK’s departure from the European Union on the 31st of October, we do not expect a severe impact on the delivery of the Arcade Coder to EU backers. As our main distribution center for Europe is based in the UK and we do not currently have a distribution center elsewhere in the EU, there may be customs delays out of the UK. However, we expect small courier shipments to be less impacted by Brexit.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, we can’t say for sure if there will be any additional import fees or charges to ship to the EU but if there are any additional fees or charges applied to shipments leaving the UK and going in to the EU, we will cover all of those fees so you, our backers, don’t have to worry about this and the Arcade Coder won’t cost you any more than what you have already paid!
